Air Fryer Vegetable (Veggie) Wontons

Make crispy wontons at home in your air-fryer and they only take 5-minutes. 100% plant-based, delicious, and easy to make.

Ingredients

Wonton Filling

· 1 cup green cabbage I use Josie's Organics

· 1/2 onion diced

· 2 large carrots chopped as small as possible

· 1/2 package extra firm tofu

· 2 tbsp soy sauce or coconut sauce

· 1 tbsp rice vinegar

· 1 tsp toasted sesame oil optional: omit if you're oil-free

· 1/2 tsp ginger

· 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Wonton Dipping Sauce

· 4 tbsp coconut sauce

· 2 tbsp soy sauce

· 1 tbsp rice vinegar

· 2 tbsp maple syrup

· 1/2 tsp chili garlic sauce optional for spice. or sub red chili flakes

· 1 tsp toasted sesame oil or sesame paste use sesame paste if you're oil-free

Instructions

1. Chop the veggies as small as possible or pulse them in a food processor.

2. In a pan, saute carrots, onion, cabbage until soft. Crumble in tofu. Add in the soy sauce or coconut sauce, garlic, ginger, and toasted sesame oil (optional). Saute for 10 minutes until completely cooked. Remove from heat.

3. Add about 1-1.5 tsp of the mixture into the center of each wonton wrapper. Fold the wonton wrapper forming a triangle. Seal the edges with water and press down. Take the two ends of the "triangle" and press the edges together. The wonton package should have instructions with images on the back.

4. Preheat air-fryer to 350 F. Use non-stick air-fryer or spray with a little cooking spray. Add wontons into the air fryer gently. Don't stack them on top of one another. Cook for 5 minutes or until golden brown. They burn quickly so watch them!

5. Combine all ingredients for the dipping sauce in a bowl and mix.

6. Serve wontons fresh, dip in the sauce, and enjoy!
